Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services. By accessing this site or requesting any service from J&M Roofing, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our services or website.

Services Provided

J&M Roofing offers a wide range of roofing solutions, including roof repairs, maintenance, full roof replacements, flat roofing systems, slate and tile roofing, fascia, soffit and guttering installations, emergency callouts, and full roof inspections. All services are provided subject to availability and based on individual assessment of your roofing requirements at the time of booking.

Quotations

All quotations provided by J&M Roofing are free and carry no obligation. While we aim to provide accurate estimates within 20 minutes, all quotes remain subject to a site inspection to confirm the scope and pricing. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise specified. Any alterations or expansions in the original scope of work may lead to adjustments in the quoted price.

Booking & Cancellations

Bookings are confirmed when we receive verbal or written agreement from the customer. Cancellations must be made no less than 48 hours before the agreed service start time. Failure to cancel within this period may result in a charge to recover preparatory costs or materials purchased. We reserve the right to reschedule bookings in case of unavoidable circumstances.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be clearly detailed in your invoice or contract. In most cases, a deposit may be required before work begins, with the balance due upon completion of the project. Full payment is expected as agreed, and failure to pay on time may result in interest charges under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.

Materials & Workmanship Guarantee

We commit to using high-quality materials suitable for the specific needs of each project and all of our workmanship is guaranteed for a specified period, which will be clearly communicated to the client in writing. Any manufacturer's warranties provided will also be honoured, although they are subject to the terms of the product provider. Please note that guarantees may be voided if any unauthorised modifications or repairs are made by a third party after our work is completed.

Access & Customer Obligations

Clients are required to provide safe and reasonable access to their property to allow our team to complete the agreed works. In the event that access is restricted or delayed, additional costs may be incurred. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us in advance of any special conditions or hazards, such as the presence of pets, electrical issues, or materials such as asbestos, which may impact the safety or approach to the work.

Delays & Force Majeure

While we make every effort to meet agreed timelines, we are not liable for any delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather, material shortages, supplier issues, illness, or restrictions imposed by government or regulatory bodies. In such cases, we will inform the client as soon as possible and arrange for the work to be completed at the next available opportunity.

Damage & Liability

J&M Roofing exercises great care in all work undertaken, but we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing structural problems, hidden faults, or damage caused during necessary access or construction procedures, such as scuffing or disturbance to delicate finishes. Any damage or concerns must be reported to us in writing within 7 days of the work being completed so we can assess and address the issue promptly.

Complaints & Disputes

We value customer satisfaction and aim to resolve any complaints quickly and professionally. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please submit your concerns in writing to [Insert Email] within 14 days of the work’s completion. We will review your complaint and aim to resolve it within 14 working days.
